The preparation of the new Technology Center (TC) is well under way, so we asked Petr Falc, the head of the Technological Center, to explain us the benefits to customers, and at what stage the Technology Center is right now.
In September 2017 the KUBOUŠEK Technology Center will be opened. Do all the preparations go to plan?
In terms of implementation of new technologies, I am satisfied with the progress. Great thanks in this respect belong to our suppliers who take the new TC not only as a possibility of presentation of their high-end products but also as a partner destination for the development and testing of innovative plastic injection technologies.
TC involves a lot of preparation and cooperation directly with Munich KraussMaffei. How do they perceive the construction of TC in České Budějovice?
They perceive the construction of TC clearly positive and are very pleased with it. For KraussMaffei, KUBOUŠEK is synonymous with KM for the Czech Republic, and this step only confirms our competence in the field of innovative technologies in the plastics industry. In Munich, they feel great potential in our TC, especially considering the fact that both the Czech Republic and Slovakia belong to the plastics powers in conversion to the number of the population.
What will be the greatest benefit of the Technology Center to our customers from your point of view
The main benefits are three. The first is that TC will serve as a showroom. This means that the customer can apply the technology in practice and discuss its eventual application in his plant with our specialist.
The second benefit, and in my opinion the biggest one is that the customer will be able to use our machines to start or test his project. This means that if a customer does not have enough machine capacity for his project in his plant, he can use our machines and start the production here. At the same time, our customers can test their moulds, collaborate with us on the development of new projects or optimize existing production processes
The third and no less important benefit is the possibility to be trained directly on such machines with the latest technologies.
The Technology Center will also introduce new technologies from our portfolio (RocTool, Maximator) – could you briefly introduce the advantages of these technologies?
RocTool is the electro-induction mold heating technology, which enables us to achieve up to 97.2% of the surface replicability. Even with a high gloss surface or with the effect of a certain texture.
And Maximator solution allows for GIT injection. By passage of gas, in this case nitrogen, a cavity can be formed in the part. The result is material savings as well as lightening of the part.
