On Wednesday, 7th September 2022, KUBOUŠEK and KraussMaffei held an Open Door Day at the production plant in Sučany. The visitors had a chance to see the preview of the new standardised precisionMolding range of an all-electric injection moulding machines. The simplified design of this series complements KraussMaffei’s current machine ranges with an affordable solution with emphasis on the cost-effective operation.
The Open Door Day was traditionally complemented by tours in the production areas as well as presentation of the first precisionMolding machine produced in Sučany, all complemented by the hands-on seminars united by the common topic of potential savings in production in times of ever rising inflation.
40 participants representing 18 companies from the Czech Republic and Slovakia came to Sučany. The visitors were personally welcomed by Martin Štěpánek, managing director of KraussMaffei Sučany. He pointed out the growing competence of the Slovak plant, which started more than 10 years ago with the production of switch cabinets and gradually expanded production to include CX hydraulic machines, PX electric injection moulding machines and the newly standardised precisionMolding range of electric machines. Mr. Štěpánek also mentioned the ever-increasing widening of responsibilities of the design and development team as well as plans for Application and Technology competencies deployment at site.
Attendees appreciated the topics of the seminars, which used practical examples from production to show where unnecessary costs can grow and what is important to consider when eliminating them. These topics thus complemented the new affordable precisionMolding range of machines and their cost-effective operation.
