Christmas is approaching and we at KUBOUŠEK would like to thank all of our customers and partners for their cooperation in the slowly ending year 2023. We would like to come to visit you all and wish you a happy holiday personally, but every year it turns out that it is not in our power and time possibilities.
That’s why we decided to do something a little different this year. Instead of the traditional Christmas gifts, a portion of the funds will go to charity. With this change, we will be sharing the joy of Christmas not only with you, but also with those who need it most.
Our story began in 1990 in České Budějovice. Therefore, we chose from local charities. We teamed up with the ADRA České Budějovice Volunteer Centre, which helps people with disabilities and seniors. Iva Kyselová, who has defended the colours of KUBOUŠEK in the past, works in this organisation and we know that our support goes into the right hands. This, by the way, was confirmed by the fact that this year the organization won the 1st prize in the category of Voluntary Organization from the Ministry of Interior.
In Slovakia, we also chose the organisation thanks to recommendation of a former colleague. Our Slovak company KUBOUŠEK SK, s.r.o. supported the children’s mobile hospice Pod kridlami Dominiky in Lužianky, where they focus on medical assistance to long-term sick children and cancer patients in their home environment.
As a gift for us, the children of the volunteers or directly the children from the children’s mobile hospice painted beautiful pictures and cards with Christmas motives, from which we chose two and used them for our New Year’s cards.
We try to help not only at Christmas. In September, we took part in the TERIBEAR charity run, which is supported by the Tereza Maxová Foundation. Thanks to running and walking, we managed to move 24 KUBOUŠEK members and together we gained almost 1,000 kilometers. We donated the amount raised to the Children’s Crisis Center’s ‘‘Way from Hell’’ project, which focuses on abused and sexually abused children.
For many years we have also supported the wonderful pre-Christmas charity event Angel Auction. Here we regularly sponsor one of the pictures drawn or painted by children with physical or combined disabilities from the ARPIDA Centre. These pictures are always auctioned off just before Christmas at the Angel Auction and all the proceeds are donated to the ARPIDA Centre.
On behalf of the entire team, we wish you a wonderful Christmas full of well-being and, above all, health, happiness and love in the new year.
We look forward to working together next year.
